Koshika Foundation is engaged in micro-charity for macro-good. We are a "not-for-profit" Foundation, focused on Eye Care, Children's Heart Care and supporting Charitable Clinics, for the poor & needy in India, among other philanthropic activities.
We are devoted to preventing avoidable blindness and saving precious little lives.
Towards this objective, we sponsor free Eye Surgeries for the underprivileged sections of our society. The underserved rural areas are offered "Doorstep Relief" through free Eye Camps organized by us.
We also support free heart procedures and open-heart surgeries for children afflicted with congenital heart defects.
We also support local communities, by distributing free medicines in Charitable Clinics managed by certain charitable institutions.
Financial contributions by Koshika's Trustees, out of their personal resources, are sought to be augmented through donations by the public at large. We guarantee that 100% of your donations will reach the ultimate beneficiaries. Koshika's administrative & other expenses are funded separately by Trustees (out of their personal funds) or through grants from Corporates/others, specifically for that purpose.
Needy patients, identified through Eye camps & Charitable OPDs, are sponsored for free Eye surgeries at our partner Hospitals. The patients from rural areas are brought in buses to the Hospital in Delhi, provided food & overnight lodging, operated upon & sent back in buses - all free of cost for patients (beneficiaries).
Children with heart ailments - walk-in, referred and evaluated in camps - are supported for free heart procedures.
We provide you detailed feedback about utilization of your donations, and also send proof of the same through a mail containing photos, names, age, addresses & type/date of surgeries performed on the beneficiaries of your kindness. These acknowledgements are sent, within about 90 days after credit of the amount in Koshika's bank account, with our heartfelt gratitude & blessings of the beneficiaries.
Koshika Foundation is registered, with Sub-Registrar of Delhi-South, as a Public Charitable Trust.
Koshika has been granted registration as a "General Public Utility Trust" u/s 12A read with section 12AA of The Income Tax Act, 1961; this registration applies from AY 2022-23 & the Trust is registered vide Document Identification No. AACTK3466CE2018001 with Unique Registration No. AACTK3466CE20180 issued by the Income Tax Department, valid from AY 2022-23 to AY 2026-27.
Donations to Koshika are eligible for Income Tax benefit to the Donor u/s 80G vide Document Identification No. AACTK3466CF2014701 with Unique Registration No. AACTK3466CF20147 issued by the Income Tax Department, valid from AY 2022-23 to AY 2026-27.
Koshika has been allotted AACTK3466C as PAN by the Income Tax Department.
Koshika has been allotted DELK13928F as TAN by the Income Tax Department.
