Methodology:

  • Permanent establishments in the neighbourhood in villages and slum clusters - located in Deeg village, Distt. Bharatpur, Rajasthan, and Saket, New Delhi (adjoining slum clusters of Sangam Vihar, Said-ul-ajab, Khirkee village etc.).
  • Set up with diagnostic equipment.
  • Staffed by qualified/trained optometrists and Vision Technicians.
  • Screning for cataract, refraction (for prescribing and giving spectacles).
  • Referral to secondary or tertiary hospitals for firm diagnosis and treatment of major eye diseases.
